Why Won’t my Samsung TV connect to the internet?

If your TV does not connect to your Wi-Fi network, the problem may not be the lack of a remote control device. Here are some reasons your smart TV may not connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Incorrect DNS settings

If your TV DNS settings are incorrect, you will not be able to connect your TV to your Wi-Fi network. You can fix that by manually adjusting the settings.

Outdated Firmware

If your TV firmware is outdated, your TV may not connect to your Wi-Fi network or perform other basic functions. You can contact Samsung customer service for help with software updates in your region.

Mac address problems

All your devices use a unique address to connect to your Wi-Fi router. Your ISP can block the address from connecting to the Wi-Fi router. Contact your ISP to unblock it if it is blocked or switch to a different service provider.

General bug

Many users have reported a bug on Samsung Smart TVs. The reports show that the network settings are corrupted, and users must reset the TV to connect to the internet. If your TV does not connect to the internet, you can reset it by turning it off for 15 minutes or more and then switching it on.

You can fix Wi-Fi problems by turning the router on and off again. You can also unplug the router, wait 10 minutes and then plug it in again. Finally, try connecting your TV to the internet again, which should work.

If you cannot connect your Samsung TV to the internet using your home internet, try connecting it to a different network. You can do that by using your phone as a hotspot. If your TV connects to the internet, then the problem is your service provider, and you may need to make a change.

While your remote control makes using your TV easier, it is possible to access menu items without it. Connecting your smart TV to the internet allows you to access a wide range of entertainment options and get the best out of your Samsung TV. Use the above guidelines when connecting your Samsung TV to Wi-Fi if you do not have access to a remote.
