  • Dial *60 from your landline to activate this feature.
  • Then dial *80 to deactivate it.

  • Click on the phone icon to access the VoiceZone platform
  • Go to “Settings.”
  • Click on “Edit” next to the Peace & Quiet category
  • Select “Block Unwanted Callers”
  • Activate the feature and save the changes.

Blocking telemarketing calls and robocalls

Spectrum has a feature called Call Guard which identifies and blocks unsolicited or fraudulent robocalls and gives a caller ID alert for other telemarketing calls. This feature uses an advanced tool that analyzes call patterns and screens incoming calls in real-time. Call Guard pledges to stop potential spam and robocalls.

The Call Guard feature comes automatically activated on all Spectrum home phone users. But you can manage the feature from your Spectrum account and add phone numbers to the “Allow List .”Here’s how to access Call Guard on your Spectrum landline.

Blocking anonymous calls

Spectrum will reject incoming calls with no caller ID info, blocked or hidden. Instead, the caller will get a message alerting them that you do not receive blocked caller IDs and advising them to unlock their number before trying again. Direct dialing method

If you don’t have access to the internet, you can activate Call Guard via direct dialing.

  • Dial *77 to activate the service. This will reject the calls from unknown numbers or those with caller IDs.
  • Then dial *87 to deactivate the service.

Online Spectrum account

You can set up this call blocking feature from your Spectrum account through the steps below.

  • Sign in to your Spectrum account.
  • Tap on the phone icon at the top of your screen to go to the VoiceZone platform
  • Select “Settings”
  • Choose “Edit” next to the “Peace & Quiet” tab
  • Choose “Anonymous Call Rejection”
  • Tap the “On” button and follow the instructions
  • Then click “Save Changes.”

Use third-party apps

There are several third-party software that you can install to help you block all these spam calls from Spectrum.


This is one of the most trusted third-party apps to stop unsolicited telemarketing and robocalls on your Spectrum landline. It uses a list of unwanted phone numbers to identify spam numbers. So when a spam number calls you, the call comes through to the landline and the Nomorobo software.

If the Nomorobo software recognizes the call from an unknown or unwanted caller, it blocks it immediately. Follow the steps below to enable this feature.

  • Use your username and password to sign in to your Spectrum account.
  • Click on “Voice Online Manager”
  • Open “Settings”
  • Select “Peace & Quiet,” then select “Edit.”
  • Turn on Nomorobo by checking the checkbox.

How to block outgoing calls on Spectrum landline

People use the Caller ID Number to identify the caller of a phone call. Unfortunately, someone can also use this number to call you back. Spectrum has a feature that allows you to block the outbound caller ID. Once you activate this feature, the recipient of the call will not identify you and will not be able to call back either. Here’s how to block outgoing calls via a dial code and your Spectrum account.

Direct dialing method

  • Press *67, then enter the number you want to prevent from seeing your caller ID information.
  • Then to deactivate this feature, press *82 and enter the number you blocked from seeing your caller ID.

Online Spectrum account

  • Log in to your Spectrum account.
  • Open the “Settings” tab.
  • Go to “Peace & Quiet .”You will see different blocking features.
  • Select “Block outbound calls” to hide your caller ID.
  • Activate the blocking feature by pressing “On.”
  • And then press “Save” to save the changes made.

The difference between the two methods is that the dialing code activates the feature for only one phone number at a time. But activating the feature on your account will prevent all the people you call from seeing your caller ID.
